Hand to Mouth

Godly Play

This form of story telling with a strange name comes from the Montessori style of teaching and has been developed in America for a long number of years by Jerome Berryman. It fits into the category of 'awe and wonder' and 'creativity' and lets the children explore the story without hindrance from too much direction from adults.

Hand to Mouth have accredited Godly Play teachers and are happy to lead sessions in school.

We have done many sessions in schools with some very positive results. It is proving to be reaching children that are difficult to engage in the normal way. A number of times the teacher has remarked that one particular child has for the first time been animated and engaged in what has been going on.

If you are interested in Godly Play all we ask is that we work with small groups or around 12 to 15 and that you find us a quiet place to do the session. We will need at least 45 minutes for each session and ideally things ready for creative work after the story.

Our prices for this are as at the bottom of our main schools page.
