Hand to Mouth Puppets
History;
Hand to Mouth Puppets was born in 1997 with a request to a church puppet team to go do an assembly in the local school. On their 3rd visit the OFSTED inspectors were in residence and were very enthusiastic. 'How many schools do you do?' was the question.
'You ought to do more' was their reply when they found that we only did the one.
A local businessman had offered to sponsor us, so we went to see him and the upshot was that he provided money for Margaret to have one day off from her job with social services. We launched ourselves with leaflets and started in 30 schools, visiting once each term.

Mandy, one of our team

The work has expanded since then, Margaret works for our trust full time and there are now 4 of us in the team servicing over 80 schools each term. The children build up a rapport with the puppet characters who always mirror some everyday experience common to their world.
Songs and sign language usually follow a sketch that either tells a bible story or is based on biblical principals, These show just how up to date the bible still is in it's application.
